Shane Kelton
Shane Kelton knows what it’s like to struggle. He knows what it’s like to be at war with his own mind. He knows what it’s like to feel like giving up. But most importantly, Shane knows what it’s like to turn it all around.
At just 21 years old, Shane survived a suicide attempt that would change the course of his life. From that moment, he made it his mission to find a better way to overcome the pain and suffering he and so many others face. His journey to healing was not easy, but it became the foundation for his work in mental health advocacy today.
Shane offers a raw, unfiltered account of his personal mental health journey—starting from his earliest memories and extending to his most recent revelations. His talks are grounded in his lived experience of depression, anxiety, and multiple suicide attempts. Shane holds nothing back as he shares the critical lessons, tools, and insights that helped him through the darkest times.
If you’re looking for dry, clinical advice, Shane’s message is not for you. He speaks with complete vulnerability and authenticity to empower others. With no apologies, he seeks to change lives and, more importantly, to save lives with each word he shares.
A keynote speaker with over 100 events under his belt, including presentations for sporting clubs, schools, and workplaces. His speaking style is built on his lived experience, making his message both impactful and deeply personal.
In his presentations, Shane shares the strategies that worked for him, the ones that didn’t, and the invaluable lessons he learned from his support network along the way. His talks provide a space for people to reflect on their own mental health, to find hope, and to understand mental health issues in a real and tangible way. Shane’s candidness allows others to connect with their own experiences and reach out for help when needed.
Shane is also the author of a book documenting his journey through mental health challenges, and he hosts Power, Strength & Vulnerability, a podcast focused on conversations around mental health and well-being.
If you’re looking for raw honesty, and a message that speaks to the heart of mental health, Shane Kelton is your speaker.
